This heavy duty switch can be operated by means of rope making it convenient to use. After an emergency stop, the switch gets locked, this prevents accidental re-starting. The switch can be reset manually by bringing back the lever. Pull cord switch also known as Rope Pull Switch or Conveyor Rope Emergency switch is used as a safety switch to stop the conveyor belt in case of an emergency.
